The Mercer Room
The Mercer room is a tribute to my favorite place of peace, solitude, and beauty like no other on earth
The photos on the wall are places that inspire me, I love to take photos, if it's raining I put on the rain jacket and go into the rain to get a pic, I would rarely give up a fish to take a photo but I might try to do both!
This is a place of my childhood that I have grown to appreciate, it takes me away from the fast paced life I lead. No makeup, no fashion, whether I'm in a tent or a 60 year old cabin, it doesn't matter to me or my family or any friend I've ever taken there because Mercer's just a clean pure paradise, the beauty is in the land!
When your on the water and a storm front is coming in it is seen for miles away one half of the sky is blue and the other blackest black. The moon shining down dancing on the water with the sound of the Loons in the background is a familiar feel at night. Early morning wake up time is my favorite time for a swim in the lake. First you inhale a scream from the shock of the cold, but it's worth the fullfillment to feel the freedom, as I listen to my arms at they flow thru the water, peacefully.
The river is a challenge, kayaking upstream for the best spot to catch the big fish is like traveling to another place in time, like in the story books, brings out the little girl in me. Sitting by the big fire at the beach with a million stars above, with family, friends and tired sunburnt faces laughing about the scenes of the day gone by, is surreal
The flowage is mysterious with an actual forest underneath the water above, the eagles are searching for food or resting in there nests, with there young right beside them
Life is so good when you appreciate the small things in the big scheme of life!
